Our Mission:
 
Our goal at E.F. Possinger & Sons, Inc. is to send each employee back to their family in the same healthy condition that they were in when they left for work. To accomplish this goal each EFP employee must function as part of a team to improve the work environment of E.F. Possinger & Sons, Inc. by systematically identifying workplace hazards that may now exist, analyzing the situation with the hazard, and recommending possible solutions to the identified hazard. Safety is everyone’s business.
 
Drug and Alcohol Policy:
E.F. Possinger & Sons, Inc. has a zero tolerance for drug and alcohol abuse. Policies are in place for both CDL and non CDL employees that allow pre-employment testing, random testing, probable cause testing, post accident testing, and return to service testing.  New employees are required to pass a drug test before reporting to work.
 
Workplace Safety Committee

Organized in March of 2005, the safety committee meets monthly. The 10 dedicated members of the committee represent all areas of the business. Currently the committee is in its 3rd year of state approved certification through the Department of Labor and Industry/Pennsafe. All members of the committee are required to attend mandated training sessions for the committee to maintain its certification. The committee responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

•	Accident investigation
•	Jobsite safety inspections
•	Quarterly workplace inspections
•	Hazard identification, including job hazard analysis
•	Reporting safety problems to management and recommending corrective action
•	Requesting needed PPE and equipment
•	Communicating safety information to non committee members
